My research journey has been deeply rooted in the strategic nature of knowledge management within organisations. With a focus on the behavioural outcomes of knowledge management implementations and the strategic utilisation of knowledge as a resource, I have explored the complexities of organisational behavior and change management. More recently, my work has delved into the intriguing domain of self-sabotage during organisational change projects. I am passionate about conducting research that not only advances academic understanding but also has practical implications for improving organisational effectiveness. My extensive publication record includes 27 peer-reviewed pieces, collaborations with international scholars, and collaboration with local businesses to help solve their problems.
You do not lead by hitting people over the head-that’s assault, not leadership.
Teaching is where I truly connect with my passion for management and human behavior. My pedagogical approach is student-centered, integrating practical, problem-oriented, and case-based assignments to foster critical thinking and real-world application. I have taught a variety of courses including Organisational Behaviour, Ethical Leadership, International Management, and Strategic Management, incorporating experiential learning, simulations, and community partnerships. I have a dedicated a growing set of resources on this website for those looking to explore different cases and approaches in management classes.
A leader may succeed for some time in persuading his superiors that he is a good leader; he will never persuade his subordinates unless he is.
Community Engagement
Beyond the classroom, I am committed to service both within my institution and the broader community. I have forged strong partnerships with regional businesses and non-profits, creating valuable opportunities for students and enhancing the local economy. I believe in the power of education to transform communities and am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and innovative academic environment.
Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence.
